| Notes : A strong monarch, Eric I attempted to create a national church under an archbishop in Lund (Sweden). In 1101 he had his brother, Knud "den Hellige", canonized by the church. The following year he went on a crusade to the holy Land but died, along with his Queen Bodil Trugotsdotter on Cyprus. |
